Breakfast in Vietnam
May 23, 2016
As you have often heard, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. In Vietnam, it takes on a whole new meaning.
When you stay at a hotel in Vietnam, it typically comes with complimentary breakfast. You should absolutely take advantage of the offer, not only because of health reasons, but because of the cornucopia of the culinary offering. The breakfast buffet will typically have a Western section where you will find such items as bacons, sausage, scramble eggs, and muffins. There will also be a Vietnamese section where traditional breakfast food is on offer like pho. In some higher end hotels, there will also be Japanese and Chinese sections to cater to guests from those countries. By far my favorite section is the fresh squeeze juice section. The fresh watermelon juice is sublime.
And if the offering is not overwhelming already, the buffet changes a little bit every day which makes showing up for breakfast so fun every morning.
Enjoy!
