High Demand for the VFX and Animation Industry in Vietnam

Fashion powerhouse, H&M will be opening their first Vietnam store in Ho Chi Minh City in 2017.
The Swedish-based retailer announced an aggressive global store expansion plan for next year with a commitment to sustainability in each new country they enter. “Being a global brand comes with a lot of responsibility. We take this responsibilty very seriously, within all of our processes, in all of our markets,” said Karl-Johan Persson, CEO of H&M Group.

Their latest designer collection, Kenzo x H&M reflects that mission with clothing and home items sourced and made sustainably. Suboi, Vietnam’s queen of rap, Iman, and Chance the Rapper have been announced as brand ambassadors to model the line.

Last month, the collection was showcased in a glitzy runway debut of bold, colorful jungle and floral prints for men, women, kids and home. French photographer Jean-Paul Goude directed the runway show and fell in love with Suboi’s confidence, energy and enthusiasm. Suboi is clearly elated to represent the brand.

H&M does not own any factories, instead they work with independent suppliers from various countries to bring their products to market. Creating garments with local fabrics, dyes and smart design will be the goal for Vietnam’s operations. “All the way from improving the livelihood of a cotton farmer to lowering the impacts from washing and drying our clothes,” Persson stated.

200 H&M employees worldwide work with sustainability as their core job function. Collaborating with customers, businesses, innovators, scientists and other interest groups to bring about serious change in the fashion world is the H&M way. “I believe companies that take responsibility for people and the environment will be the most successful in the long run,” said Persson.
