Miss Vietnam 2016 Finalists

Participants in the Miss Vietnam pageant receive the opportunity to be goodwill ambassadors on behalf of their country for the rest of their lives. Past participants say they treasure the special recognition the Vietnamese people show them everywhere they go, even years after the event.
The 2016 southern province finalists were chosen in a preliminary pageant on June 12. Contestants from the northern provinces will be chosen in Ha Long, Quang Ninh Province on July 17. 38 young women will then move onto the final pageant week of preliminaries in HCMC from August 14-27.
At the final pageant, contestants will demonstrate their talent, show videos of their charity work, model traditional costumes, evening dresses and swimwear. The jury will choose five candidates to take part in a question-and-answer session, then vote for their candidate to win the crown.
The pageant finale will be televised live at Hoa Binh Theatre in HCMC on August 27, where the lucky winner will be crowned Miss Vietnam 2016.
