BRG and the Jack Nicklaus Golf Academy have created the “VietGolf U16 Program” which offers free golf lessons to Vietnamese children 8-16 years old currently residing in Vietnam, holding Vietnamese nationality. This program brings Vietnamese youngsters an incredible opportunity to learn the game from certified Nicklaus instructors. The students will learn to play correctly and safely, the Jack Nicklaus way. The certified male and female Nicklaus team will teach children the fundamentals of golf; proper grip, posture, balance and alignment,with the goal of getting young people interested and excited about golf. BRG and Nicklaus Golf Academy believe there is much hidden or untapped talent in youngsters able to excel at golf.

BRG aims to mentor and help children to see golf as a fun sport that promotes positive life skills of perseverance, gamesmanship, mathematical thinking and fun. Through the program, BRG hopes to attract the young people of Vietnam to golf, and hopes to grow youth and young adult participation in the game.

The BRG VietGolf U16 Junior Golf Team reaches further to include young golfers good enough to win the Vietnam Amateur Open tournament by 2018, and nourish those talents to develop a team to play the ASIAD 2019 golf event. Continuing to foster these seeds, BRG hopes to find and develop a young golfer good enough to compete on a major Pro tour such as the Asian Tour, European Tour, or US Tour by 2025.

Another Extra: The Ultimate Driving Range at Legend Hill

The driving range at BRG Legend Hill Golf Resort is designed to allow golfers of all levels to practice and improve their game by simulating any situation one may encounter on a regular golf course.

Unlike most driving ranges with artificial turf and limited areas to hit balls from a natural grass surface, Legend Hill provides an opportunity and experience like no other range. You will have the option to hit from the artificial surface, but what separates Legend Hill driving range from the others is the opportunity to hit from different lies on different angles at different greens over bunkers with multiple yardages simulating golf holes that you will experience in every round of golf you play on any course.

If short-game is something you would like to work on, there is a small hitting deck where you can hit your wedges.  An undulated green and green side bunker has been designed next to the hitting area to practice difficult putts, chips and bunker shots that you face on a regular course.  Located on the opposite side of the practice green is a fairway bunker for those who struggle with longer bunker shots.

One can never rule out the long game, so you are encouraged to take out the big stick and try to hit the green located a mere 300 yards away. The new driving range was designed to be customer friendly and make practicing realistic, productive and fun.

The range has been constructed to the same exacting standards as the Nicklaus Golf Course including a full USGA specification Putting and Chipping green. All tee and fairway areas have a full sand cap with extensive drainage to ensure dry playable areas at all times. All bunkering has been constructed to the same international standard as the Legend Hill Golf Course. An automatic computer based irrigation system was installed to ensure the best possible turf condition at all times. Fully certified and imported Platinum paspalum from the USA adorns the Nicklaus Academy endorsed putting green, as well as the velvet like teeing area. Combined with 5-star dining and service,the BRG Legend Hill Golf Resort is a must-visit destination.
