You can put your unused flight miles to work for the Red Cross through the generosity of several major airlines. The airline partners listed below permit loyalty program members to donate their flight miles to help Red Cross volunteers and staff get to critical areas during emergencies.
AAdvantage program members may donate miles in 1,000-mile increments to the Miles of Hope program or call 800-433-7300.
Delta Air Lines supports the Red Cross by allowing SkyMiles customers to donate their frequent flyer miles through the Delta SkyWish website or call 800-455-2720.
Southwest Airlines supports the Red Cross through the donation of Rapid Rewards Points. In order to participate, customers must donate a minimum of 2,000 points, and in 500 point increments thereafter. Donations can be made through the Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards donation program or call 1-800-435-9792.
Mileage Plus members can make donations to the American Red Cross through United Airline’s Mileage Plus charity program. The minimum mileage requirement for a donation is 1,000 miles to the Mileage Plus Service Center or by calling 1-800-421-4655.
