Sweet Twenty breaks film records with 1 million viewers and box office draw of 76 billion Vietnam dong.
The film premiered in early December and after 4 weeks of release, Sweet Twenty has attracted more than 1 million viewers with over 76 billion dong in box office revenue. Sweet Twenty (in Vietnamese, Em Là Bà Nội Của Anh) is the first co-production of Korean production giant CJ Entertainment and HKFilm, one of Vietnam’s premier production companies.
Sweet Twenty breaks new cinematic ground in Vietnam. It is the first family-focused film that appeals to audiences of all ages, from children to seniors. The film was adapted from the highly successful South Korean film, Miss Granny, which broke many domestic records.
“We are very proud of the crew for their tremendous dedication in making the film a success. The work by our co-production partner CJ Entertainment has also been exceptional,” said Louie Nguyen, a US investor with investments in Vietnam and a current board member of HKFilm. “We look forward to producing more films with CJ Entertainment and bringing quality entertainment to the Vietnamese market.”
