Cacdemode: Cut-Out Swimwear for an Unforgettable Summer
Summer Dreams of East Meets West
A swimsuit, like a well painted picture, is worth a thousand words. What a woman dons on the beach expresses her character – colors and stripes reflect an outgoing personality and a willingness to try new things, while polka dots boast confidence and a love for comfort.
What do cut-out swimsuits, with their criss-cross backs and side cut-outs say? They speak a volume of classiness, while daring to be flirtatious at the same time. This trait makes the cut-out swimsuit a unique piece of art; what other fashion accessory can you imagine being worn by both Jackie Kennedy and Lady Gaga? To celebrate this distinct beach item, we are proud to share the story of Cacdemode Swim – one of the world’s premiere luxury swim boutiques specializing in cut-out pieces.
The founder of Cacdemode is Cac Lam, who grew up in the U.S. and received her Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design at The Art Institute of Dallas, Texas in 2012. Before starting Cacdemode, she held roles as an assistant designer at the renowned fashion brand Duyan in Milan, Italy. Her mentor, Ms. Doo Youn Jeoung – who is also the founder of Duyan – worked personally with design legend Gianni Versace for nine years. Lam has been a four-time winner of the design competition at the Art Insitute of Dallas, Texas. Her Asian heritage, combined with her western roots, make for a harmonious mixture that manifests itself in her work.
Lam has always harbored a passion for designing great swimwear, and being a frequent wearer of swim-suits herself, brings an innate sense of what women want when choosing their next piece. That innate sense for the product is married with a cocktail of experience from Western Europe, South America, Nepal, Morocco, and Asia. The result is a blend of the boldness from a cut-out piece complimented by the natural beauty of a woman’s silhouette. Lam crafts every piece with innovative textiles and clean lines, making her swimwear collection timeless, classy and distinct.
Cacdemode offers swimsuits around the $120 USD range. Ready-to-wear offerings span from $500 to $2,000, whereas evening wear – the true luxe experience offered here – goes from $2,000 to $10,000. You can browse Cacdemode’s unique offerings at their website. Our favorite casual pieces are the Bridget and the Slim Leg Tux Trouser – expect them to roll out many more in the near future. If you really have a taste for cutting-edge luxe, you can visit Cacdemode’s showroom at 42 Nguyen Cu Trinh Street in Ho Chi Minh City.
Like all brands we cherish at VietnamAdvisors, Cacdemode is a company that does well by doing good. Cac Lam started her own charity, Seam The World, which helps underprivileged children discover visions for their futures through fashion and art. Through a series of artistic projects, she hopes to help the children in her program discover their creativity.
